Welcome to Rev. Raymond P. Mims, Jr.
We gladly welcome the Rev. Raymond P.
Mims, Jr. as our Interim Pastor. He began his new relationship with us on
Monday, May 16, 2011. As Interim Pastor, one
of his major roles is to assist in preparing
the congregation for a new permanent pastor.
Ray Mims holds a M.S. degree in
Counseling from Jacksonville State
University and a M. Div. degree from Duke
Divinity School. He has served as -

Prior to entering ordained
ministry, Ray served for twenty-five years
as administrator of public and private human
service agencies.
Ray is married to
Sharon Underwood Mims who is on the faculty
of the School of Human Development and
Family Studies at UNC Greensboro. The Mims
reside in Guilford County, NC and have four
children and four grandchildren.
Ray
is a Minister Member of Salem Presbytery (PCUSA)
and is a member of the Association of
Presbyterian Interim Ministry Specialists.
He enjoys spending time with his
grandchildren, gardening, making music and
